Online/double-conversion ups delay time?

Is an Online/double-conversion UPS truly instant? Any microsecond or nanosecond delay?

Double conversion is always running from the battery, simultaneously charging it when AC is available.  Unless they've taken some improper shortcut, there should be no delay whatsoever.

What do you mean by instant? Since it is double conversion, the load is never powered from the mains but from internal voltage, and even can be of different frequency if particular model allows to set this. Load is never switched between internal/external voltage sources.

Do you think there could be a delay on the output sense so that the UPS does not latch and store a line fault in its memory? Just hypothesizing here.

A line fault (ie on the supply) would have nothing to do with the UPS output, as others have mentioned, the input is converted to DC internally before going back to AC. The output is always on and doesn't switch between anything.

The UPS i've worked with dont always report faults if they are very quick, but again this has no affect on the output.
