i installed a remote bulldog car starter model RS82 in my 2000 chevy silverado 1500 5.3 lt automatic a year ago along with a number 791 bypass module which has the pass lock 2.

i disconnected my 12volt truck battery. and when i reconnected my battery i went to clear the 791 memory. first i unplugged the 8 pin wire harness connector. then took the number 2 blue wire to ground.

then i plugged the 8 pin wire harness back into the 971 module when the red light came on i unplugged the 8 pin wire harness then i waited 10 seconds while the blue number 2 wire still connected to

ground. after 10 seconds i went to replugged the 8 pin harness back into the 791 module i couldn't get it to seat all the way in. after i removed the 8 wire harness i noticed i bent the number 7 pass lock 2

orange - wire onto the number 8 red wire + 12volt constant pin. i straighten the number 7 orange wire pin back. and then replugged the 8 wire harness back into the module. the red light didn't come on so i

guess i shorted something in the 791 module.

i try ed looking up the numbers 791 and board number CMT - 791A 20: 0060 no luck. can you help me to troubleshoot this and help me to get it working again?

If nobody here is able to help, you might also try the EricTheCarGuy forums. Somewhat like EEVBlog but for cars.
