Title: Can anyone identify this connector
Post by: Simon on April 22, 2015, 06:54:23 am
I have been shown a pump (usually aimed at marine applications) with a type of connector we have never seen. We'd need to find the mating half so I'm wondering if anyone has ever used one or know what it is. pictures attached. The thread is a 3/4-20 UNEF-2A

Looks like a standard round DC-connector with a thread to secure it (and for waterproofing). In that case it should match a normal round plug of the right size.
I've seen something similar (just in plastic, for those outdoor LED strips).

What dimensions are we talking about here?

Looking at the voltage and the thread style I will look at the circular threaded military connectors made by Amphenol, Socaplex or other suppliers, as this lloks like an aircraft part. If not then they will have a socket and plug that will fit the 4 mounting holes and which will handle the 20A of current.
