Capacitor discharge circuit
(1/1)
brakee:
Hi guys,
I would like to build a circuit to discharge a set of capacitors connected to an high frequency AC supply (schematic attached below). In this schematic, one capacitor is charged during the positive half cycle, and the other during the negative half cycle. The idea then would be to
sense the charging (positive slope) of one capacitor (for example, the one on the left), and this should trigger a discharge of the right capacitor through say, an SCR. Then the right cap would start charging back up, and this should trigger the discharge of the left one. Ideally, the output would look like something resulting from a unsmoothed full-wave rectifier, with all positive peaks.
Does anybody with more experience have a suggestion on what would be a good sense/trigger circuit to accomplish this? Voltages across the capacitors (uF range) would be in the 30V range, frequency would be around 100 kHz. Thanks in advance
