Crystal value labelling
« on: February 09, 2016, 09:30:50 am »
I have a batch of crystals here.

They are through-hole, HC-49US crystals made by TXC.

I'm 95% sure a batch of 4.096MHz crystals is what I ordered, but they're not labelled as 4.096MHz.

They are labelled as follows:

TXCG 4.00Np2N

Is there any weird product marking system going on here to encode the value? Are they 4.096MHz as expected, or 4.00MHz?

I think those are 4000000Hz, best make an oscillator and check. 4.096MHz (which is 4096000Hz, not 4194304Hz...) will be labeled 4.096.
