All you need to do is to do is to remove the original socket for the light bulb, attach the wires to the led ring, followed by mounting the ring with hot glue to the case.
And the result is pretty good

No, or yes... Powering them from mains through a switch mode power supply.

No idea, but it is defiantly not 10x

I have no idea about that either, deal extreme didn't really provide any specs besides voltage and weight...

i buy from DX most of the time and i'm pretty bummed out the sellers didn't provide the size of the LEDs (eg: 5050/3528)
measure with a calliper and tell me thanks (5mmx5mm or 3.5mmx2.8mm)
