Title: check out my electronics load
Post by: franksterb92 on October 09, 2018, 10:02:50 pm
heres my load project lol its a dogs breakfast as dave would say. im a sort of newb meaning i have no formal training well long story short i blew up this power supply so i decided to put a load in the shell of said power supply still need some work tho so i can finish my power supply that im attempting to design working with opp amps can be confusing any tips or tricks out there destructive criticism is crucial in " getting better" so have at it

Do you have a schematic?

What power levels are you looking for (i.e. voltage and current)?

Here's what I did.  Max load voltage = 20V and current = 2.5A.
Can be driven by internal potentiometer or 0-5V external signal.
The max voltage across R4 = 0.5V.  Hence, the max voltage across the sense resistor is 0.5V @ 0.2 Ω which yields a max load current of 2.5A.

Edit:  Updated circuit
