Chinese Production House
« on: March 02, 2011, 04:10:40 pm »
Hi, the company I work for is looking to outsource our pcb manufacture to china to save costs as currently we use a UK based production house.

We are looking for a full turnkey solution where they source the parts, etch the pcb and populate it. Which is what we have in the UK currently.

The quantities we would be ordering would be 50-5000 pieces. Would this be enough? Smaller orders we could still get in the UK

We are a small company and its very had to get into the Chinese market.

Who do you use / can recommend?

Thanks Steven

PCBCart has worked well for me.  Fast service, promised as delivered.  They are a full service fab and will make from 1 to many boards.

Here's an article I did on places I've used or that I've heard reputable things about.  And actually, whether small quantity or large, there are some great Chines solutions.  For smaller quantities, if delivery time isn't too critical, you'll be amazed at the prices you can find.

PCBCart uses express delivery like DHL.  For an order of 150 7 sq inch boards, the delivery charge was $50...but the total cost was only $250 for 150 boards.

Another company you could look at is http://www.ourpcb.com/

I had them make some boards a year or so back and they turned out great.
They seem friendly and spoke good english in the emails i had with them.
They even sent me a card for new years.

I recently got prices for some boards from this company. (I have not yet used their service)

http://www.myropcb.com

They are based in Canada but the out sourcing is from China.

The prices I was quoted where very good and I am likely to use this company shortly as they were lower than the previous China company I used (who suffered from QA issues. Good PCB's but poor fabrication)
