I would like to know if I had a transistor with 50 vcbo and another with the vcbo 100 vcbo will work. The veco is 120v

You need to look at other parameters like hfe.
What is the application? Everything depends on that.

If all other specs are the same, then yes, but I doubt that would be the case. Other than that, compatibility is largely dependent on the application.
Can you post what the 2 transistors are and what its use is?

Are you sure you did not get those reversed? I have never seen a transistor where the Vceo was greater than the Vcbo.
Except in very specialized applications like avalanche mode switching, increasing the Vcbo will not affect circuit operation although higher voltage transistors are often slower or have lower gain.
