be sure that the 316j can handle the Common Mode Slew rate that it is going to experience with SiC. datasheet says 15kV/usec, but with SiC, you want to have CMTI better than 50..100 kV/usec. if your circuit is not going beyond 15kV/usec, then you could use NOSFETs and save some money.
as for the rest: check !RESET = HI, check !FAULT= HI, all DC voltages properly referenced to the respective grounds (or SOURCE of SiC), all voltages = OK and well above UVLO, DESAT input either properly adopted to SiC (won't work out-of-the-box for SiC, but only for IGBTs, and then it sucks), or -better for diagnostics here- disabled.
