Title: Clamp-meter and voltage
Post by: cs.dk on October 13, 2018, 04:18:58 pm
Hi,
Got a Brymen BM-089, and it is safe for Cat III 1000V - I guess that only applies, if I use the input jacks?

Is there any risk in measuring current (with the clamp) on say 1500VDC? Will the reading skew, will it cause damage to the meter? Other thing I have not thought of?
The HVDC cable is safe to touch by hand, so no worries there.
