Does your company have publicly made any design open?

Hello Jose', I'm new here but have looked at the schematics and the firmware for the medtronic device.  Porting the firmware to a newer STM device would be difficult but not impossible.  Several other parts will probably need to be updated as well.

I'll echo R.Valente's question:  Which company do you work for?  If you can show that your company (in Portugal, I assume) is real and capable of actually doing this, then perhaps we can talk.

Also, here in Brazil this devices must be ANVISA compliant (similar to FDA in US) these equipment would never be in any hospital without certifications, them why is everyone acting crazy to develop such a complex device if in the ends the probably won't be used?

The world is full of what-ifs. So what?

What if the alternative was no ventilator and they died? I'll take a chance on a random machine someone built at home any day if the alternative is death. Once again I'll remind people of all the airplanes built by various non-aviation companies during WWII. Aviation is regulated to arguably a greater degree than medical during normal times but during the times of a serious crisis we throw those regulations out the window because while the unregulated device may kill someone, the regulations WILL kill many by holding up the supply of lifesaving equipment. I don't know why this is hard for some to understand.

We are already doing things like this, it's not just an idea, it's happening: https://hackaday.com/2020/03/19/saving-4-patients-with-just-1-ventilator/

What do your regulations have to say about that?
