| Connection to Electrodes on Glass |

I need to make an electrical connection from electrodes on glass to a 22g wire. See attached image -- it's the internals of a Nokia 5110 LCD. At the bottom are the electrodes on the glass plate. Does anyone know a good way to make this connection? The electrodes are paper thin and the surrounding material is glass, so I don't think soldering is the answer. Thanks in advance! |

you do have to solder them! but not with normal methods. usually a hot bar is used to solder a flex cable to it. your only other option is welding bond wire which can not be done in a home application. |

Thanks for the info. I'm hoping there is a solution more within the reach of a low-skill hobbyist such as myself. Maybe something along the lines of conductive glue reinforced with epoxy might work? This is by no means for a commercial product. |

The 5110 LCD uses a zebra strip. You don't have the whole assembly. |
