Discrete Logic Projects
« on: March 04, 2021, 08:57:15 am »
Hi,

I am wondering whether this a good place to discuss discrete logic development? It's very retro technology, but I like it for the puzzle-solving and learning aspect.

I noticed one very interesting project on here: https://www.eevblog.com/forum/projects/improving-bandwidth-of-discrete-ecl-logic/

My most recent project is the TransistorPixel: https://cpldcpu.wordpress.com/2021/02/27/the-transistorpixel/
You can find a lot more on my hackaday.io account: https://hackaday.io/projects/hacker/100317

To also pose a challenge:

The Transistorpixel has a receiver circuit that sets a latch depending on whether a long or a short (<500 ns) pulse is applied to the input.
Can you simplify the circuit further? Especially in terms of number of transistors.
