I have a roll of 3M copper tape. It is tinned to prevent oxidation, and the adhesive is intentionally conductive. It was probably 25 dollars, which could get expensive if you used it for shielding and large projects. Most what I use is very tiny bits on the odd hack. |

Snails don't like copper and copper salts that result from natural oxidation because it is toxic to them. There is also the hypothesis of them being "electrocuted" by copper, but I don't buy that. The chemical reaction seems more plausible. Kind regards, Samuel Lourenço --- End quote --- Makes sense. Apparently, copper sulfate also kills algae. Even copper alloys are effective. There is an interesting wikipedia article about that: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Antimicrobial_copper-alloy_touch_surfaces --- Quote from: BradC on November 06, 2018, 02:02:10 am --- --- Quote from: thermistor-guy on November 06, 2018, 01:51:55 am ---Makes sense. They also should ban themselves because they are one of the most toxic people on earth. Kind regards, Samuel Lourenço |
