The Mastech MS5308 LCR meter has the same testing values, not sure if it's cheaper, but it seems to be a relieable LCR meter, and it has a DC input plug that allows it to be a bench top LCR meter without batteries.
If i recall they had some problems with their ac-dc adaptors in the past, if you buy the model with the red Mastech lettering, it should be a latest version .....
Yes, as I own old MS-5308, the power adapter basically crap, but what I love about MS-5308 is its big

, especially it has big LCD as it helps my deteriorating eyes, beside normally LCR meter is not that mobile like handheld DMM does, for me mostly it was used on bench.
Also the kelvin clips attachment and its wires are quite handy and easy to fix if there is a problem, which is norm as mechanically it moves alot.
Btw it uses 8 (yes, eight) AA cells

, but for me its actually quite handy as I use Eneloop cells, haven't charge them I think for > 2 years, probably used just few times a month and the battery indicator still the same as freshly charged.
