Hi, what crimping tool should I buy on aliexpress to crimp PH2.0 pins: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4000036823994.html I found e.g. this: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/33011080440.html But I don't believe they can crimp PH2.0 and also classic dupont pins as dupont pins are much more longer. |

Engineer PA-09: http://www.engineer.jp/en/products/pa09e.html Buy the original, not a knock-off! You won't regret the expense https://youtu.be/3Cw9YFLDZeo https://youtu.be/XvdePo12vIM https://youtu.be/9bfsz6ckI04 https://forum.digikey.com/t/engineer-pa-09-universal-crimping-tool-20-32-awg/282 |

Thanks. I will consider it. But to be honest, I use cheap chinese crimping tool like the one I posted for dupont pins and they work very well. At least for occasional crimping. |

Get this one: https://www.amazon.com/Crimping-Tool-Crimper-KF2510-Connector/dp/B00R1IPRM0 TNI-U TU-190-08. I use it for JST XH but it should also do PH2. Always get a ratchet crimper which crimps both the contact and insulation in one go. Crimping a connection needs to push the material beyond the cold flow to make a weld-like connection. I doubt the PA-9 can apply that much force. Also a ratchet crimper produces the same force every time. |

I have those PA-09's and while they work pretty well, I would rather have one that crimps the wire and the insulation in one operation. It would also be good not to have to squeeze the "ears" in before you start. Those three operations add up to a really slow process. Does such a crimper exist? |
