current consumption deviation across multiple devices
(1/1)
imagiko:
I am testing some BLE based beacons powered off of a coin cell 2032. Most of the devices work as expected within their current range, but a few I'd say 10% die within a couple of weeks or so(when they are supposed to last atleast a year). I am trying to figure out why these devices are consuming more power compared to others. What should I try to do? I am not exactly a hardware engineer so I am not very familiar with debugging techniques in hardware. It could be bad caps, assembly flaw - what's a good way to start analysing this? I don't think it is a software problem as it would have manifested on all my devices, not just a few. FWIW there is a 100uF cap across the battery.
