can we make DAC sine wave inverter? i think, if we can use DAC for making sine wave inverter it is batter than spwm :-BROKE |
| coromonadalix:
For a pure sine wave ??? low thd, low jitter, precision ? up to witch frequency ? You can make sine wave by other means too ? A cheap way of doing it : http://www.learningaboutelectronics.com/Articles/Sine-wave-generator-circuit-with-a-555-timer.php You can make it with some mcu with added filtering The list goes on and on |
| Prehistoricman:
SPWM is essentially a class D amplifier. High efficiency. Most DACs (thinking of audio output ICs) would use less efficient class A output drivers. Which is better completely depends on the application. |
| David Hess:
You can but efficiency is limited to about 66% because of the linear output stage. A class-D amplifier can be 95% efficient or better. |
