For a pure sine wave ???    low thd, low jitter,  precision ?  up to witch frequency ?

You can make sine wave by other means too ?

A cheap way of doing it :

You can make it with some mcu with added filtering

The list goes on and on

SPWM is essentially a class D amplifier. High efficiency. Most DACs (thinking of audio output ICs) would use less efficient class A output drivers.
Which is better completely depends on the application.

You can but efficiency is limited to about 66% because of the linear output stage.  A class-D amplifier can be 95% efficient or better.
