DC dummy load

(1/1)

zagg:
Hello all !

I'm looking for a "simple and low cost" DC dummy load (kit or mounted) for testing my homemade power supply.
Anyone know where I can buy one ? (I leave in France).

Dave, you use a dummy load on some videos, can you give us more information about it ? :-p

Thanks in advance !!!

Davy

The simplist solution is just a resistor, the next step up is a rheostat (a high powered variable resistor). Beyond that, you could use a constant currnet load, connect different value resistors in parallel with MOSFETs or do something more exotic like using an analogue multiplier to make a MOSFET purely Ohmic.
