Delta servo 17 bit serial encoder signal protocol ?
« on: April 25, 2020, 07:21:40 am »
Hi all,
I have bought a 2nd hand Delta ASD-B2-0221-B servo driver in the hope to interface it with an Omron servomotor with the same specs.
However too late I found out that the Omron servo has the quadrature encoder output but the Delta driver has someting like a 17bit serial connection input T+ T-.

So this is probably some sort of balanced serial signal containing the 17 bits position (or more with 0's) of the encoder, but I can find zero information about it.

I read about absolute encoders with an SSI interface but they have seperate clock and data lines. So could this be some form of combined encoding, like spdif did back in the day ?  :-//

Does someone have any info on this signal? Would be much appreciated.
