Title: design CC1101 module
Post by: asadi.siyavash on September 01, 2014, 07:54:26 pm
Hi,
I want to design a module for CC1101 like RF1100SE , I can't use such a module because in the second phase I should design a complete board with this chip and microcontroller in one boad, but I don't have experience in RF designs. I have many experience in PCB design but I don't design any RF board. is it very difficult? where I should to start? is it possible to design it in 2 layer PCB?
any help would be greatly appreciated .

The easiest step would be to copy TI's reference design (supplied in the EVM) for the required band. It is a 2 layer design. If you cannot fit that into your product, you can reduce its size by choosing smaller components (0402 vs 0603, 3.2x2.5mm crystal vs HC49 and so on).

Hi Gribo,
I downloaded TI's design files before, it is 4 layer PCB.
I attached its layout
