Title: DIY Electric wire cutter
Post by: mrkva on November 22, 2015, 10:19:05 pm
Hello,

I wonder what would be the best solution for this sort of cable cutting operation:

In particular I mean the cutting/stripping jaw operation. I hope for getting that sort of "motor" somewhere and mounting it with ready-made cutting jaws available through usual distributors.
I have no idea where to start. Thanks for any help!

Same way they do it in the video? Two V shaped blades coming together?

Another novel approach would be to roll the wire against a single cutter, maybe even a small rotating saw blade. Maybe roll the wire in alternating directions for each successive cut?
