DIY Epson thermal printer interface card, which connector?
« on: July 12, 2019, 09:44:57 pm »
Hello,

I'm working on a custom interface card for an EPSON TM-T20ii thermal ticket printer. I have successfully reverse engineered the pinout an I can now directly attach to the 3.3V TTL serial input which is available on the internal interface card connector.

I want to make several pieces of this card so now I need to source the connector. The problem is that I can't find any markings on the connector and I can't find the correct type. Does anyone have a clue?

No doubt an Epson proprietary connector and thus probably hard to get.

If you get stuck, try Kel Connectors 8800 series. Looks like a similar PCB footprint, so depending on the flanges, you might be able to make them fit?
