Do motorola still make transitors ?
« on: January 24, 2011, 04:15:29 pm »
yeah I was repairing one of those ultrasonic cleaner and came across the Motorola transitors.

I thought Motorola ceased to produce transistor stuff any more except from their uC.

Anyway is there any database could tell us which chips Motorola are still making

I think that discrete Motorola semiconductors can be nowadays found at ON Semiconductor.

You don't have to use exactly the same parts, just hoose devices with: the same PCB pinout, similar or higher Hfe, the same or higher GBWP, voltage and current ratings.

ON and Freescale are the 2 semiconductor companies that started at Motorola.  Freescale being the largest and most prominent as its consistently ranked as one of the largest producers for semiconductor products in the world.

Yeah I know that but I was thinking about that, but there are a lot of cheap transistors in china branded in Motorola. So I was thinking are they fake.....

thanks for the wiki
