| Duty cycle device for a switching power supply? |
| (1/1) |
| Plasmateur:
Hello. I'm wondering if such a device exists, and if it can be remotely controlled. I would have a 48V 50A power supply, where I need to put some kind of duty cycle on the DC. I'm guessing I could use some kind of fast remote switch, but I'm not sure if that switch would go on the AC side or DC side of the power supply. Is something like this commonly used? |

Look for solid state relays, for example here: https://www.mouser.com/Electromechanical/Relays/Solid-State-Relays/Solid-State-Relays-Industrial-Mount/_/N-ay0tw/ |

But be sure to use only SSRs designed for DC output. |

How often do you need it to switch? You could switch the output with a mosfet. If low side switching is adequate then a single N mosfet can do this really easily. |

Thanks everyone! I'll check into the suggested devices. A solid state switching relay sounds great as I can probably just remotely control it with a function generator. |
