Edge launch or horizontal male BNC jacks?

(1/2) > >>

TERRA Operative:
I'm looking to build some attenuators and such and I'm having trouble finding edge launch or horizontal PCB mount male BNC jacks.

Can anyone point me in the direction to find a handful of these in 50 Ohm rating? Digikey and Mouser have a wide selection of female but basically no male..

Yes male right angle BNC is quite hard to find. I saw a few sources but nothing easy to buy, so I wrote them off for hobby use.
If you need a lot then I'm sure you can get it from one of these suppliers:
https://www.alibaba.com/product-detail/BNC-male-right-angle-for-PCB_60721985419.html
https://www.elecbee.com/en/bnc-connector/1758-475-bnc-pcb-mount-right-angle-male-connector-through-hole.html

One option is to use SMA (edge or R/A) then a SMA to BNC adapter, as the adapters are commonly available. Another can be use panel mount + pigtail, or vertical bnc via a right angle adapter board.
You can do a dual BNC/SMA right angle footprint, to populate with either connector type.

enut11:
They are available on eBay for around $2 each

Yeah, I found those ones you linked, I just need a few, not 100 of them though.
This one would be perfect if I could buy like 10 or so:

Anyone in for a group buy? :D

I'm thinking of getting a vertical one to see if I can mount it horizontally by wedging the PCB between the legs. That might work ok.

Do you have a link? I can only find vertical type.

I asked that seller and sample price is $1/pc + $30 shipping, 20pc max, bit too much for me.

Would work if you just mounted it on one side of the PCB, with 3 SMD pads top and 2 SMD pads bottom. Use solder fillets on the bottom two pads to connect to the main body of the connector. Pads would have to be close to the edge of the board.
The wedging idea would add a bit more strength but it might then not butt up flat against the PCB.
