A Quadrocopter Design Project
« on: March 07, 2015, 12:15:11 pm »
Hello everyone, I was given a project about using Arduino and Radar to design a Quadrocopter which can control its movement by mesuring the distance of the space nearby to decide move or not. How to do that? :palm:

Modules for radar distance measurement are rather expensive ... are you sure your professor didn't mean sonar? (In which case I'd recommend googling for "quadcopter arduino sonar" without the quotes.)

Think about it in steps:

1) can you measure the copter's spacial positions?
2) can you control individual motor's lift?
3) can you stablize the copter based on 1) and 2)?
4) can you move the copter based on 1), 2) and 3)?
5) can you measure the distance using the sonar?
6) can you work the measurements into the decision to move the copter?

Once you have those individual steps done, you are literally done with the project.

Do you have to design the quadcopter too, or are you given one?
