Thinking about efficient TEC drivers (max 20W electrical input range or so) that produce low EMI, i came across this LT1534-application-suggestion:
https://www.analog.com/media/en/technical-documentation/data-sheets/1534fa.pdf Page 14
In this case its only able to cool or heat and not both.
Any ideas wether such a simple IC which can do buck or boost can be made to manage both heating and cooling with a smooth transition between both modes, avoiding sudden jumps?
One could of course use the LTC1923, which is made for this task, slew rate and does it all, but is quite costly.
Competitors are ADN8834 (no mention of EMI reduction features) and MAX1968 which id like to avoid when thinking about long term availability.
Never really found SMPS-ICs (Buck, Boost, Push Pull for example) that claim slew rate limiting apart from the ones Linear (LT1533,1534,1738 for example). Are there any from other vendors or is it a patented technique?
Any other suggested methods, suitable ICs or even OSHW-designs that would do it?
Thanks.
