So I have been using a DAC/Pre-amp/Headphone amp for a while now and it started acting up by glitching/stuttering the audio output and I've been bashing
my head against a wall trying pretty much all the possible combinations of connection type, computers, power supplies etc. to arrive to the conclusion that
the the power supply seems to be the issue.
It only works fine when powering it up from a dedicated pure sine wave inverter but unfortunately said inverter is loud and a lot of clutter to my computer setup which I don't like.
Could an isolation transformer solve my issue as it completely separates the physical wired connection from other devices in my room sharing the same power?
If not, what would be the alternative and why do you think this is happening? I even disconnected the ground wire from the chassis internally but the issue remained
