Highly integrated single cell Li* solution
« on: May 17, 2016, 04:39:39 pm »
Hello!
Could not find one, so i am asking here. I have build my own lithium fuel gauge/charger/protection circuits that work well.
But... id like to have something more compact to get more board space on a 2 layer board that is only populated on one side and has not too small features.

Is there something compact out there that has protection, charging, current senseing and so forth all in one handy package?

It should not be a BGA package, everything else is fine.

Greetings,
Peter

Texas Instruments and Linear have many battery management solutions. Did you already look at those manufacturers? With your requirements I'd start at Linear.
There are small lies, big lies and then there is what is on the screen of your oscilloscope.

Yes i dit :)
The most in one package i can get is a fuel gauge and protection in one ic, wich requires still two external mosfets and a seperate IC for the charging and power management.
