Can you imagine from a picture what this item is used for?
My engineer told me it might be used for lighting.
Others say it may be used for connectors.

We once used a 96(?) way connector with split bowed pins that could be pressed into a pcb backplane without the need for soldering. Looked similar to that.

Looks like a low-res drawing of a standard 176 pin backplane connector.
