ESS monitoring device
« on: March 16, 2020, 11:05:35 am »
Hi All,

I’m working on making a rack for the ESS test of an electronic assembly. The rack has 8 shelves with 24 DUTs on each shelf. The supply voltage is 48V DC, current is about 5mA according to the designer, not sure about the inrush yet. The rack goes into an ESS walk in chamber and is cycled -40 C to +60 C or so for 24h.
The assemblies are tested before and after the ESS and I need to monitor the power only during the ESS.
Some requirements are:
- Ensure the 5 mA or so was present during the entire test.
- Disconnect the 48V in case an over current is detected, over current level TBD.
- Indicate any over/under current event at the end of the test.

Do you know any of-the-shelf device that can do this or any simple IC that I can make a small board for?

Thanks!
