I have 2 Nikon EN-EL14a battery that I decided to change their cells instead of buying new clone ones. First I checked every battery output and they were about 8 volts but their capacities are very low. then I replaced their internal cells with new Nokia BL5B battery that is equal in size and can be placed in battery enclosure. but after soldering pin correctly there in no output. I am sure that pins and soldering is OK and have checked that many times. My question is : Can anyone confirms that this can be done? or is there any possibility that may battery has some protocol for detect original cells? or is there any trick that must be done for this replacement?
Tanks a lot.
