Hi friends
I bought F187 for a few bucks so... here is my DIY fluke IR USB cable attachment.
Circuit is basic connection of FTDI FT232RL with one LM393 at output/input. Powered from USB. I saw this schematic somewhere on internet but i dont have link.
PCB is little bit fancy. It has 13,7x23,20mm double sided.
The body of connector is 3D printed from PLA.
gerbers and steps are included down.
i works with flukeview form with no issues.

Disaster...

Now carefully look at your schematic where you use 10k/10k R1/R3 divider. What reverence voltage you will have on inverted input on comparator? I assume that this will be 5/2 = 2,5 V
And what role LM393 here in your schematic, when you can easy exclude it and connect your emitting and receiving diodes directly to Rx and Tx line? :clap:

At what wavelength did you use the transmitter and receiver.
800nm, 880nm or 950nm?

950 will work, 880 will work, don't worry about it
