ground issue when expanding PCB for mechanical strength
« on: January 21, 2025, 01:38:22 pm »
Hello I have designed a PCB with certain width of 0.25mm , the PCB is RF microstrip so the width is important for impedance.
However i've been told to add extra FR-4 so the total substrate will be 1.6mm thickness which will fit the connector(data sheet attached)
But I need the connector ground to touch the ground of the PCB and I need to keep the impedance. How it could be done?
Thanks.
