Maybe it's just me who, as a SW engineer is getting confused by a data sheet for this IC. The IC has two high side switches and two low side switches, which can be turned on and off in what ever way you like. The data sheet has a truth table for the output in Figure 3 which is fine but it never mentions anything about driving the low side switches. Then in figure 4 it gives a circuit for a motor drive and has the outputs from the high side switch externally connected to the output pin of the LOW side switch.
Surely you don't get a H bridge by driving the High side switch inputs IH1 and IH2 but you also have to drive the low side switchs as well IL1 and IL2. So back to figure 3 and Table 3 which states that an 'L' in the truth table is a sink condition. That truth table should have low side values as well?
Yeah simply confused by this chip.
