| Half Bridge Converter output filter: Common VS Separate Inductor per Rail |
| (1/1) |
| sbdada:
Hello, Let's say I've a half bridge converter with some symmetrical split output, for example: +-12V, +-24V and +-35V with a common ground. In this case, which type of inductor should be used: 6 output here, so 6 separate inductor on 6 separate core for each of the output? Or, all 6 inductor coil on a single core? Or, all positive rails on one core, and negative rails on another core? Which one has the advantage? To Yansi, if you see this post: After making a new PCB, that transformer driven half bridge working very well. But I did some changes on output. I thought If I make it for +-35V and if it really works, then I can replace that bulky transformer of my amplifier, so I changed that from 12V to +-35V. Now it also has a +-12v rial for preamp. I've also added the overload protection by sensing the primary current with an small troied, that also works fine. Now I'm a bit confused with that inductor and also the polarity of their winding. |
