Help ID parts from garage sale
(1/1)
Dan Moos:
Just got back fro an amazing estate sale from a former tech. Walls of vintage gear, piles of parts, ect. Old Tek enthusiasts would kill me if they new some of the stuff I walked away from (huge scope on cart setups, unknown if working, under $50).
I got an HP 3468a for $20, a huge fluorescent magnifying lamp for basically nothing, and TONS of components.
I have a few things I need help IDing.
First up, this thing (I have like 50 of them) that I think is a cap. It reads about 1 nf on the LCR meter, but was in a box marked 22K. Obviously the marking on the box is not necessarily relevant.
What manner of cap is this? How do I read the dots?
Here's the pic. More component pics to follow.

Looks like a capacitor to me. If they all measure nearly the same, that's what I'd assume it is.
Dan Moos:
I kinda figured its a cap.
I wanna know what kind, and how to interpret the markings.
Renate:
Well, brown-black is pretty clear and we can presume that the silver adds two zeroes.
The old military micas had six dots, this is something similar/different.
jan48:
This looks like an old redcap ceramic capacitor made by ERIE 1000pF
