Title: Help identify connectors - similar to MATE-N-LOK
Post by: Circlotron on March 10, 2016, 10:48:35 pm
I have to find PCB mounting equivalent versions of these connectors. They are similar to MATE-N-LOK connectors but the pattern of round and square sections looks to be laid out differently.  A small motor normally plugs into the controller box but I have to make a board (actually about 500 per year) with a relay on it that goes between the motor and controller. Hoping to find PCB mounting version of both connectors, or at least find out what the family or series of connectors are. It is part of a Chinese made automatic sliding door operator.

What is the spacing on that connector?

Amp has a TE series that seems to match Mate-N-Lok.

I'll be back at work on Tuesday. I'll measure it then.
One difference is the MATE-N-LOK has D-shaped keying pins -> http://g01.s.alicdn.com/kf/HTB1_L8MIpXXXXXvapXXq6xXFXXXM/220538347/HTB1_L8MIpXXXXXvapXXq6xXFXXXM.jpg (http://g01.s.alicdn.com/kf/HTB1_L8MIpXXXXXvapXXq6xXFXXXM/220538347/HTB1_L8MIpXXXXXvapXXq6xXFXXXM.jpg) but mine has square shaped ones so they are not directly compatible.

Sliding door actuator, used to operate those doors you get in places like supermarkets, where there are 1 or 2 glass or aluminium and glass doors that open when you approach, so as to keep the airconditioned air inside, while keeping easy entry and exit from the centre.

Oh, OK, like the ones in the States that say " automatic door, keep walking" sticker on it.

Only Americans would need the "keep walking" part. I suppose the sticks of gum have instructions on how to chew gum and walk at the same time.

I wish cable manufactures would have a "cheat sheet" for the plug/socket ranges. A images of a typical version from each series, what they are called, and what number/config the pins are.

No. Only us Americans are dumb enough to let a lawyer tell us we have to put that sign up. We are essentially a nanny state now where unless you spell everything in terms a toddler can understand somebody will sue over just about anything. silly. This is why Trump is so popular. He represents the complete opposite of the nanny state. I will get off my soap box now, and for the record I don't like any of the people running for president.
