LT3086 regulator -current boost
« on: March 20, 2019, 12:03:41 am »
Are there any attempts to boost the current capability of LT3086?

If so are there any gotchas?

Thanks RES,

I am aware of parallel operation of the regulator.

I am thinking of an additional external current boost transistorso as to retain the nice features of the regulator but increase current from 2.something amps up to 50 amps.

Radio coms room... switch mode power supply is likely to affect the noise floor of the room.

It needs to be linear power supply.
