Looking for small QFP-160 socket

Hello, I'm currently using a clamshell QFP-160 socket in my design (Part no# QP1-160065-009). The size of the thing is 30.3*30.3 (cm). I'm just asking if someone know a smaller socket? It took a bit of space, and I'm trying to reduce the size of the PCB. Any type of socket, not necessary clamshell.

30cm square?? Did you mean 30mm?

I would think that once you get to a basic level of functionality that works reliably you could design a board that doesn't need a test socket.

Keep a board with a test socket for development purposes, but look to progress beyond.
