full wave rectification with mosfets (LT new part)
« on: September 25, 2013, 08:34:51 pm »
http://www.linear.com/product/LT4320#overview
just bumped into this. are there any other similar solutions to save power on diode bridges when you want to use higher currents from a transformer etc? or anyone succesfully made a fullwave rectifier with fets?
the control chip and 4 fair priced fets are way more then lets say a 50A diode bridge but the difference in power dissipation is amazing which means no need for a big ass heatsink just for a rectifier
