Hi all
I'm designing a transimpedance amplifier for my thesis work and the same will be implemented in one of the labs for chemical identification.
I need to measure the performance of the transimpedance amplifier...I've designed a TIA with OPA656 as a trial...and I have fabricated one with 1GOhm feedback resistance or transimpedance gain.
Now, I've to measure the performance of the TIA. I just want to know what are the standard performance measurements that I should take with the transimpedance amplifier.
Being a first timer with precision measurements I request the community to give suggestions also about the laboratory equipment needed to carry out the measurements. Because I don't have any measurement facility apart from a 70MHz DSO at my lab. I need to go to a central measurement facility to carry out these measurements.
Of particular, I've got a question regarding the current source requirement of the TIA..How do I insert micro and nano current sources to the amplifier? Also, if current sources are available, say, my design requires to measure high-frequency currents...how do I emulate high-frequency current sources in the laboratory? Kindly provide answers and documentation wherever possible.
