How to control DC 30 amps and pneumatic central lock valve
« on: December 27, 2019, 06:16:06 am »
Hi fellows,
1- I have to control(just on/off) a mini compressor, 12v 21 amperes.What is the fastest way to do this?
2- I will use a valve that drives 2 cylinders. That valve has a specialy, it have central locking, when i lift the load with cylinders, i will lock the valve to prevent load go down. This is important, i dont want compressor to work always.when i want the load to go down, i will simply make valve to stop locking. Is anybody work with this valves? How can i do that?Valve is 12v 4W.

Some more information will be needed about the valve and what exactly you are looking for to control it, but for 12V 30A I would either use a Solid State Relay or a contactor. What are you using for process control, ie: do you have a PLC or are you planning to use an arduino or is this entirely discrete controls(pushbuttons and limit switches)?

30A 12v is well within MOSFET territory if you want solid state. But SS relay is also option
