LM2576 - Worth to download the updated datasheet

Datasheet revised on 2013 by TI.

Wonder if it will work with Win 8.1...

"To further simplify the buck regulator design procedure, National Semiconductor is making available computer design software to be used with the SIMPLE SWITCHER line of switching regulators. Switchers Made Simple(Version 3.3) is available on a (3 1?2") diskette for IBM compatible computers from a National Semiconductor sales office in your area."

Well, that update in 2013 was probably just the intern slapping a TI title page in front of the old Nat Semi datasheet. And one with a different page size, so reading all the old Nat Semi datasheets became a pain. I.e. the intern was in general incompetent and gave a rat's ass.

But the blame also sits with the old Nat Semi, where they didn't manage to update their datasheets for donkey's years. Nat Semi moved Simple Switcher to web-only long before TI picked up their remains.
