Usually there's a trimpot inside, or you can snoop around for the sense or feedback wires/components as above, and tweak that.
It is indeed close enough that component ratings and values should be fine. At worst maybe there's an overvoltage protection that needs to be adjusted similarly (or bypassed).
I guess I'm confused that you say people have done this before, but you don't know how.

Unless you mean, like, in general, but haven't seen this one done specifically.
Should be pretty straightforward to find, but as I don't have one of these units handy, you'd have to tip me at least the value of one before I can figure it out myself.
