Do you know a part number for the probe power connector that would fit an HP SA, the probe side? I think that's common across multiple brands. Rigol uses it for sure.
Cheers

You seem to mean this connector. Unfortunately, this looks like a proprietary HP/Agilent/Keysight design. Apart from the expensive connector that appears as a spare part from Keysight, no one seems to make it. The application I know is the 85024A high impedance 3 GHz probe (plug). I have sockets in HP, R&S and Anritsu devices. There is no manufacturer number or mark on the plug.

Yes, that's the one I'm looking for. If it was proprietary to HP/A/K why would so many other manufacturers us it? To use HP probes with their equipment?

At the LG Nex-1 (NS-30) brand spectrum analyzer, or equivalent to Aeroflex 2399B has it too (photo below).
Its for the popular HP 85024A probe which at that period of time, many other non HP/Agilent spectrum analyzers sort of have it too.

I don't know for sure what the reason is but I suppose that for years the HP 85024A and 41800A probes for spectrum analyzers were standard. And other manufacturers have adopted this standard. Only in Advantest spectrum analyzer seen high impedance probe connector in another standard - 4 pin Lemo.

I have not been able to identify this connector. It is common to both my old HP 8591A analyser and the R&S FSP I want the power to supply a preamp
Both analysers produce +- 15V DC with same pin configuration.
So I just made a compatible connector with my 3D printer
It uses pins recovered from a DB9 connector and includes a cable clamp
I will give further details in a separate topic if that is more appropriate

I don’t mind you posting here.

OK Please see attached 3D model and STL files
Important. The threads are 1/8" BSP 28 and need to be 'cleaned' with the appropriate tap and die. The accuracy of my 3d Printer is fairly typical and not good enough for small threads to fit easily as printed.
Material PLA. I printed on a raft.
The pin holes need a final clean with a 1.5mm drill and 2mm drill for the wider part of the pin. My pins were melted out of a DB9 connector I cant guarantee that all such pins will fit the same
The cable clamp can cope with at least 2-3mm cable diameter. The lip on the body outer allows for heat shrink to be used as strain relief on the cable.
I can confirm that this fits the HP8591A and R&S FSP spectrum analysers (the 3 pins are spaced 2.5mm apart).
Any feedback is appreciated

Interesting that other brands also used (what seems to be) the same connector - I too thought it was a custom HP part.
According to some topics on https://groups.io/g/HP-Agilent-Keysight-equipment/topics (https://groups.io/g/HP-Agilent-Keysight-equipment/topics) , a workable replacement could be a Binder 719 series, such as
https://www.binder-connector.com/en/products/subminiature-circular-connectors/snap-in-ip40/female-cable-connector-with-strain-relief#0997487003 (https://www.binder-connector.com/en/products/subminiature-circular-connectors/snap-in-ip40/female-cable-connector-with-strain-relief#0997487003)
but requires a bit of filing to remove the key area. I haven't tested this, just forwarding the info...
Did anyone check the Aeroflex / etc service manuals or parts lists for clues ?

can i buy some on these plugs off you?

These Binder 719 are available at Farnell: https://nl.farnell.com/c/connectors/circular-connectors-components/circular-industrial-connectors?st=binder+719
I bought a few Binder 09 9748 70 03. This solution is not perfect, but works reliable.
My thanks to fenugrec for this tip! I had been searching for a solution for a long time...
