HV (1500V) DC and AC power supply 500µA

I'm searching for ideas to generate a high voltage power supply (1500V) with an accurate (+-5%) 500µA current limit.
My problem is that I need DC and AC currents. Is it better to design 2 separate units, one for AC and one for DC?
